Limassol District Transport Organization

The Limassol Passengers Transport Company (EMEL) was established through the integration of urban and rural bus operators into a district bus company. This initiative was the result of a government policy in 2009, followed by a law passed by parliament. EMEL began its operations on July 5th, 2010.

Our vision is to elevate and transform bus transport in Limassol, making it a key contributor to a better-functioning city with an improved environment. We aim to provide transportation that is easy to use, comfortable, fast, and economical, truly serving the needs of our citizens. Our goal is to reduce the reliance on private vehicles, thereby decreasing traffic congestion and pollution.
